HAVING A MOMENT: Rose Byrne and Stylist Penny Lovell
March 7, 2013 09:26 AM
We've had a style crush on Rose Byrne ever since her breakout role as snobby-but-stunning villainess, Helen, in 2011's Bridesmaids. In the past two years, the Aussie actress has also proved herself a mighty force on the red carpet; stealing our fashion hearts by making the most daring outfits look effortless and chic. And, it seems we're not the only devotees...
Vogue.com has taken notice as well, placing Rose Byrne on their weekly Best Dressed List for her last four red carpet outings. We checked in with Byrne's stylist, Starworks Artists Penny Lovell, for her thoughts on each of these winning looks.

PENNY LOVELL: There was just something so effortless and cool about this pant suit from DVF but what made it truly red carpet was all the hand beading that made up the glittering bug pattern.

PL: I love this color on Rose. I love the soft draping at the neckline and the structured hip that gives way to the flowing skirt. The playful raised dots and gold detailing on hard shell Thale Blanc clutch in balance with the two tone gold and black platform Charlotte Olympia shoes made this look fun, sophisticated. And despite the cold chill in London, it evoked Springtime.

PL: Rose loves florals and has an affinity for vintage and vintage inspired style. This flowy, pastel gown from Valentino Resort 2013 ticked both of those boxes. Because Rose was traveling to promote a film we had to have the dress tailoring in her room just hours before the event. When it was all done and she was dressed and ready to go, it was all so worth it.
Lanvin, Vanity Fair Oscar Party
PL: Vanity Fair Party you can take a few more risks and maybe have a little more fun with the look. If you were to quickly glance at the description on paper, this 2 piece from Lanvin may sound kind of out there...shear white, backless, Lycra bodysuit with asymmetrical side cutouts and a semi opaque tuxedo skirt. The minute I saw this, I knew it was going to be amazing! Once paired with the stunning Chanel fine jewelry (complete with not 1 but 2 bodyguards) the over all look was complete. Absolutely one of my favorites.
