GET THE LOOK: Brit Marling's Cascading Waves
May 29, 2013 10:52 AM
We're loving Brit Marling's red carpet look for last night's The East premiere in Los Angeles. Sporting the ever-popular black-and-white trend, Marling chose a sleek Balenciaga pantsuit to hit the red carpet. Her bold lip and soft waves added even more polish to the tailored ensemble.
Starworks Aritsts hairstylist Laini Reeves created the actresses chic waves. We have styling notes below...
STEP ONE: Apply a small amount of Moroccanoil to hair for shine, beginning at the roots.
STEP TWO: Using a 3inch curling iron curl the hair. [SIDE NOTE] It's important not to curl at the root, start about 4 inch away from the scalp. This stops any root lift and keeps the hair flat and smooth.
STEP THREE: When the hair is curled take a soft, flat brush and brush the hair through to the side to soften the curl into a wave.
STEP FOUR: Strengthen the wave by using hair clips at the front of the hair. Spray a light hold hairspray to hold the look into place then remove the hair clips.
