AVIVA / HAIR

Celebrity hairstylist Aviva has spent years cultivating her craft, and the Los Angeles beauty scene has taken notice. While she started out studying sociology at the University of California Davis in Northern California, she moved on to beauty school to pursue her true passion for hair styling, where she has enjoyed much success.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Aviva made the decision to move to Los Angeles in 2000. After years of working tirelessly in the competitive Hollywood beauty industry, adding work on music videos and occasional shoots to her resume, she came close to giving up on her dream. When she finally made the decision to put her love for hair aside and take a day job, fate intervened and she began working as an office assistant at a prestigious beauty agency.

She spent two and a half years assisting agents who were in charge of booking top hairstylists and, coincidentally, some of Aviva's idols.  It was during these formative years that she was able to become familiar with all aspects of the beauty industry, from studying the top photographers, stylists, and make-up artists to understanding the business behind the beauty.

After a few years of representing other artists, Aviva decided to dive back into pursuing her dream of being a hairstylist. She began assisting hairstylists like Mark Townsend and Adir Abergel.  Mark Townsend took her under his wing and allowed her to accompany him on shoots in Los Angeles and New York.  Three years later, she was added to the talent roster at her agency, becoming a celebrated artist in her own right.

Today she is living out her dream, happily working for top magazines and photographers. Her exciting career includes getting beautiful women such as Brit Marling, Zoe Saldana, Ariel Winter and Beth Behrs ready for the red carpet. It seems that for Aviva, following her passion definitely paid off.
